Pedro Waddington

Pedro Waddington is a Brazilian director. His recent work includes directing Anitta: Made in Honório, a Netflix docuseries that ranked among the platform’s most-watched titles, as well as the Christmas special Gilda Lúcia e o Bode, one of Globo’s major year-end productions in 2020. Waddington also directed episodes of Sob Pressão, a critically acclaimed and highly successful drama series that ran for five seasons. He served as both cinematographer and co-director of Amor e Sorte: Gilda e Lúcia. His directing credits also include music videos such as Rua da Passagem, by Ney Matogrosso, and Na Real, by Gilberto Gil. He is currently directing a documentary about Fernanda Montenegro, celebrating the career of one of Brazil’s most prominent actresses in theater and screen, as well as Emergência 53, a new medical drama series for Globoplay. Waddington’s latest film, Precisamos Falar, premiered at the Rio Film Festival and the São Paulo International Film Festival (Mostra de São Paulo) and was selected for the 2025 Biarritz Film Festival.
